“A positive bright future where I see my plans actually getting shaped thrills me every day.”
Your journey in the field of social media has begun. How are you planning to take this forward in the entertainment industry?
I see social media as an educational platform for me and the people living in society are also involved in social media for interaction. On social media, I get to see other artists and their work. There is a lot to learn from them. I appreciate their Creativities and I can spread awareness and knowledge about dance and particularly Ballet through social media. Today demand for social media is skyrocketing and it is from all age groups in the society. So, definitely social media helps in fabricating a particular message which is receptive by people.
Do you feel the excitement with the new opportunities that are offered to you?
Yes. I definitely feel excited and blessed to have opportunities and I’m also extremely thankful to different companies, individuals, and the artists who are giving opportunities to me. It’s a movement that I’m working on and with these opportunities, I want to take dance ( ballet) to the next level.
‘The journey of a celebrity is always celebrated’- What is your view on this statement?
I don’t think the journey of a celebrity is always celebrated and I can’t see that struggle is always spoken about either. I think it’s quite personalized. I don’t believe that every celebrity failures or struggles are celebrated or even once he is successful, not necessary that it will still be celebrated.
We all had thrilling experiences in our lives- What was yours and how do you think that it has changed your way of life? Is your vision evolving?
The time I got a scholarship to study professional dance in Mumbai was extremely an unexpected and exciting moment for me. It made me realize that I want to take dance as a career and of course the vision is always evolving every day. We meet new people daily who are very well defined in their profession. They possess a new art which makes them an artist. As a person, we are getting to witness many situations with a bundle of experiences and by doing this we are broadening our vision.
What are the positivities that keep pinching you every day to create something good inside you and how do you deliver the same logically and creatively?
Because of dancing, I have grown immense interest in fitness both mental and physical well being so that definitely keeps me going every day and gives me the courage to face things even if there are challenges and even if there are failures. And of course future, a positive bright future where I see my plans actually getting shaped is also what thrills me every day to do hard work. Logically one has to have a lot of patience to achieve success because it is never a one night process. I try to have as much patience as possible. Creatively I believe in collaboration so I collaborate a lot I read a lot. That’s what I do.
How do you see yourself as a professional and as a person?
Professionally I’m more strict and disciplined and in person, I’m much calmer.
What kind of Dilemma have you faced so far?
When I Was 18. There were two options one that I should complete my undergraduate studies & second was to make a career in dancing. The pressure of studies was always there. So I chose dancing and came to Mumbai to pursue my dreams.
If you are asked to live dance with a fusion of creativity, prayer, and logic then what will be the change that you would first like to create and feel in your dance?
The change that I would like to bring is before you start your day with dancing you should bring your mental level to zero means that your mind is all calm and relax, you are thinking nothing but you are focused and attracting positive energy.
What do you think that today’s generation is lagging behind in- Motivation, determination or are they more involved in the lame discussions?
I see I’m always surrounded by people who are cherishing, celebrating and are motivated in their lives. So I see more doing and less of the unnecessary topic.
‘Everybody can dance, its the drive and passion that makes you a dancer’. According to you, how does passion leads anyone from an average to an awestruck personality?
If you are passionate enough to do something then you can do anything. You see dreams every day you don’t just see them you live them every day. It is your struggle the more you live that dream you become stronger and it gives you more encouragement to become better and that’s the only thing which drives you every day and doesn’t make you stop.
Do you think that the entertainment industry needs to make some vital changes in the field of dance and choreography? Mention those changes?
Well to be honest I see as we live in metropolitan city name Mumbai you know the city is filled with Billboards and at the same time you see Indian audience is so influenced by Bollywood in movies Bollywood Choreographies Bollywood celebrities I must say that we should have more international dance style like Jazz, Ballet And Contemporary or even Tap. Celebrities should not only be doing Bollywood Choreography they should be getting more exposed to different choreography types as well.
What are your skills and subjectivities that you feel can lead you in the race of being the next celebrity?
My skills are to educate India on a higher scale when it comes to international dance especially Ballet. To spread Dance awareness as much as I can. For example, let’s say when you talk about Bollywood the first thing that strikes to your brain is movies, movie star billboards same thing now when I say Ballet than nothing strikes there because people have no awareness or information about it.
According to you which generation is inclined towards you the most?
My geography of young ones seems to be inclined towards me the most. I’m attracting more of the younger generation when it comes to making a decision towards dance they are fresh to take a call and it’s a call of a lifetime. Either they make or they not.
‘Nothing is impossible until it’s done’- What is your view on this statement?
Yes. It’s right most of the things looks impossible from the outer perspective. When we look up to that thing we see so many obstacles at the time we are trying it but we still go through a lot of struggle. Practice makes us perfect to get perfection on that professional level. We have to give it all of what we have and to show our utmost dedication and passion to achieve what we are willing to. Ultimately, we have to sell ourselves as an artist and make everything our goal and say I am possible.
